Exploring Australia on Vacation
Australia has a lot to offer holidaymakers and is a popular choice. People often choose holidays that allow them to explore a wide area of Australia so they can experience the variety of things the country has to offer. In addition to being the world’s largest island, Australia is also the world’s smallest continent.
Sydney is a regular choice of destination; it’s the financial hub of Australia and has an iconic skyline, but that’s not all it has to offer. There’s the Sydney Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, and Bondi Beach, the most famous Sydney Beach. Bondi beach is popular for surfing, swimming, and relaxing on its pristine golden sands under the Australian sun. Between April and December, Humpback whales pass through Sydney on their migration path. Whales can be spotted from cliff tops and lookout points, and boat tours are also available.
It has five major amusement parks, including Seaworld, Dreamworld, and Movie World, on its gold coast. It’s home to the Great Barrier Reef, which is popular for scuba diving and snorkeling. The reef is also popular for tourists on boat tours, including glass bottomed boats. You can also see the reef from the air on a helicopter tour. Daintree Rainforest is also in Queensland. There are over 12000 types of insects and 400 bird species in the rainforest. The rainforest can be explored on foot or by river cruise. You can see crocodiles, birds, and tree snakes on a river cruise.
Western Australia is a great place to experience the quieter side of Australia. You can wander off the beaten path a lot in this region. The Mitchell Plateau or Purnululu National Park can be explored by 4 wheel drive vehicle on some holidays, so you can learn about aboriginal culture. Many of the exploration holidays include views of waterfalls and gorges along the way, as well as a variety of Australian wildlife. A budding explorer will love the Australian outback.
