Cycling New Zealand - Another Round of Fun
You have to get your bike out and start touring New Zealand if you want to make the most of it. New Zealand has a lot of nice places to cycle. There are guided and unguided tours. Bring your own bike or rent one here. The best way to see New Zealand with your friends or colleagues is on a guided tour. There is plenty of accommodation available all over the country, so you don’t have to worry about that. If you want to bike New Zealand, here are a few famous tours:
Christchurch to Auckland
It’ll probably take 18-20 days and cover both Northern and Southern islands, Hot Water Beach, Coromandel Peninsula, Cook Ferry Crossing, Tongariro National Park, Pancake Rocks, and Marlborough Sounds. We’ll be biking around all day and seeing all the fun places in New Zealand. It’ll be a nice break from your busy schedule since you’ll be on the go almost all day. This cycling New Zealand route is best done with a guide, because it’ll take a lot of time, so you might miss some cool stuff.
Rotorua to Auckland
While passing through Tongariro National Park and Huka Falls, you’ll see volcanoes and Waitomo caves. This cycling tour covers the north island and takes about 8-9 days. In Rotorua, you’ll see hot pools and boiling mud. Staying at farms is the best way to experience nature on this tour. It’s best to take a guide since it’s a long tour.
Peninsula Tour
It’s a small tour of about 2-3 days and doesn’t have to be guided. You’ll see the Canterbury Plains, Lyttelton Harbor, and Pacific Ocean. You’ll see the exquisite beauty of the beach on this tour along the banks of Peninsula.
River Trail Tour
In addition, it’s a short bike tour of New Zealand that takes about 2-3 days, so you don’t need a guide. You’ll be riding along calm country roads along the rail trail. In this route, you’ll get to see a lot of birds, so if you’re a bird lover, this would be your dream tour. The above aren’t all the tours. These aren’t even a tenth of the tours you can take in New Zealand. Due to their sheer number, I can’t list them all. You won’t know what you’re missing if you don’t visit New Zealand at least once if you’re a biker.
